Experienced. Flexible. Relationship-based.

Why work with me?

  • I have led or supported successful funding applications up to $750,000 to a range of funders for short-term and long-term projects

  • I can help find alignment between what you want to do and what funders are looking for

  • At every stage, I’ll work with you to simplify application and reporting processes so that they are easier to tackle next time

  • I love the process of supporting organizations and artists to articulate their vision and impact

  • I have 10+ years of experience managing community- and arts-based projects; I don’t just write about them

  • I am based in Tkaronto/Toronto, and available to support work anywhere in Canada

Some of the funders I have a successful track record with include: Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, the Toronto Foundation, the United Way, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Law Foundation of Ontario, various funding programs from all levels of government (City of Toronto, Government of Ontario, and the Government of Canada), and various private foundations.

About

My work is motivated by the fact that we urgently need a redistribution of wealth and power. Although conventional granting systems are rooted in and often uphold oppressive systems, I also believe that grant funding can play an important role in short-term strategies to resource the creative, social and artistic interventions that we need.

I’m a white, cis, settler living in Tkaronto/Toronto. I have a masters in urban planning, and my professional background is in housing justice and human rights.

In my professional and personal life, I am striving to break down the silences around money and resources that are entrenched for so many of us.
